About Beactive-WA
The Be Active Scheme embraces twenty-one Local Government Authorities
in the
Wheatbelt region of Western Australia including Goomalling, Toodyay,
Northam, Cunderdin, Dowerin, Moora, Victoria Plains,
Bruce Rock, Tammin, Merredin, Kellerberrin, Yilgarn, Westonia,
Corrigin, Lake Grace, Wickepin and Dumbleyung.
Be Active Schemes have been operating across 21 Local Governments in
the
Wheatbelt Region for a number of years. Four Be Active coordinators,
supported by Healthway, the Local Governments and the National Heart
Foundation, aim to increase participation in physical activity across
the
community. The region is comprised of sixty-three small towns with a
total
population of 36,687 spread across 94,400 km2.
The Avon Region includes five Local Government Authorities, Goomalling,
Toodyay, Northam, Cunderdin & Dowerin. The Be Active
Coordinator for this Scheme is based in the town of Goomalling.
The Central & Eastern Districts includes six Local Government
Authorities,
Bruce Rock, Tammin, Merredin, Kellerberrin, Yilgarn & Westonia. The Be Active Coordinator for this Scheme is based in the town
of
Bruce Rock.
The Midlands District includes four Local Government Authorities, Moora & Victoria Plains. The Be
Active
Coordinator for this Scheme is based in the town of Moora. (Add Photo)
